Your have bursts of activity. Your redo log files are too small (the default is 200k, which is ridiculous) or you have too few of them (at least 4). The last message is pointing to the same problem: you have bursts of activity and the ARCH process cant' cope with the load. You should be able to resolve that by the measures outlined above.
