I'm having the same problem. When I try to start the service manually, I get this error:

  Could not start the OracleOraHome81 service on Local   Computer. The service did not return an error. This   could be an internal Windows error or an internal   service error. if the problem persists, contact your   system administrator.

Anyone else encountered this? I'm completely newbie here. There must some simple answer.
