What segment extended & when?

Hi,



I'd like to know have a record of when any segment extends. Whats the
feeling on putting a trigger on dba_extents (or its underlying table)
to insert a copy of the new row into a table of my own, with a
timestamp?



I've heard that Oracle strongly advise against putting triggers on
dictionary objects. Any other solutions?
