OPS

We are looking to implement a large volume (1,000,000 transaction per day) system. We are looking at using OPS 8.1.6 on Sun Cluster. We are also exploring other options as we have heard of performance/tuning problems using OPS. Does anyone have similar, or different, experiences with OPS, and has anyone used other solutions to handle a very intensive transaction database? I.E. Could a single instance database using MTS on say a SUN 10,000 be sufficient.
