O816 Startup Fails

Since a powercut yesterday my O816 on NT4 doesn't startup anymore. (the processes are there, but they don't mount the database (?)) I've performed a CHKDSK, but that doesn't show any problems... I can copy the *dbf files, so I assume they are still readable. The Alert file terminates as follows:

RECO started with pid=7
SNP0 started with pid=8
SNP1 started with pid=9
SNP2 started with pid=10
SNP3 started with pid=11

ORA-204 signalled during: alter database mount exclusive...

Does anybody know ORA-204?
Does anybody knows good sources to investigate what's wrong?
