I'd like to answer your question with some more questions :-

Would you want your clients to know that you're trying to solicit information on these topics in this manner?

If you get any information from this newsgroup - will you faithfully document it to your clients as having come from here?

How do you see yourself contributing to this newsgroup in the future?

Why haven't you cross-posted this question to the MS sql server newsgroup at the same time?

Looking at http://www.faberconsulting.com/expertise/esolutions.html , I get the impression that there are people in your organisation who seem pretty knowledgeable about I.T. - have they not got any opinions on the relative strengths and weaknesses of different I.T. Vendors' technologies?

Reasonable questions don't you think?
