Oracle Object Relational Features

Has anyone designed a database using the object relational features and if so:

1) Were there any performance issues?
2)  Any data access issues (e.g. via JDBC)?
3)  Any modeling tools out there that support Oracle's object relational

features?

Any experiences, good or bad, would be appreciated.
