Doubt it. More likely the lawyers WANTED a trial. That way they can make more money at your and ORACLE's expense...

PS: Sorry to hear you've had such a problem. It should be a no-brainer to fix if Oracle was still ruled by managers. Sounds like the crappies have got the run of the place.
