I've not used ASP before, but it may be worth running the Oracle multi
threaded server if ASP can support it. You can define a number of
dispatchers (like pre running connection processes) to pre-start and to stay
running. That way it reduces the startup load you've identified.



Oracle's got MTS parameters in it's init.ora file. If you want to chase this
further, email me off line.
