OPS on Windows NT question

Anyone installed Oracle Parallel server on NT? I just completed a fresh installation on Compaq ProLiant and have one little mystery to resolve:

I can't connect to my instances on both nodes using SID defined in tnsnames file. I have absolutely no problems connecting to the database from both nodes without giving "Host Name" in login dialog of SQL*Plus or running sqlplus from DOS command prompt. Oracle documentation is useless as usual.

At this point i ran out of ideas. Anyone?
