I guess you want the Java Runtime for Linux, to install Oracle 8i.

Try open one of the mirrors from the download page at blackdown, and travel to JDK-1.1.6/i386/glibc/v5/

I found my JRE1.1.6v5 at:
ftp://ftp.nvg.ntnu.no/pub/linux/java/JDK-1.1.6/i386/glibc/v5/jre_1.1.6-v5-gl ibc-x86.tar.gz
