SQL Server can't run on "massive" machines... it runs on an x86 OS - which means that it runs on souped up PCs.

All Oracle have to do is put 8i on a Sun Enterprise 10000, or an SGI Onyx, or a Cray, or an AS/400, fully specced and it'll kill SQL server no matter what you do!

Of course, SQL server has an 'easy to use' front end which I'm sure will be a great consolation to you when it falls over taking your business with it...
