"buffer overflow" during SELECT from a table!

Whenever I try to run a select statement from SQLPlus on a certian table I get the error "buffer overflow. Use SET command to reduce ARRAYSIZE or increase MAXDATA." Tried changing the suggested setting but no difference - other tables seem to be ok!

Any ideas
