Hi Everyone,

I got a question which i hope here's the right place to ask it.

I know the answer to this question is also machine-dependent but i'd like to get some general guideline and hints regarding this question from the users in this newsgroup.

How many _active_ connections can the Orcale DB handle with adequate performance for each connection when the machine is a one CPU machine with more then enough ram? how does it scale when more CPUs are added?

(btw, ofcourse i'm talking on a UNIX version of Oracle)

Thanks
