Dear "marketmaker",

your hint does not work! Sorry. If I look in the listener.log file on the Server I see the following lines:

TNSLSNR for Linux: Version 8.1.5.0.0 - Production on 12-MAR-00 12:42:37

(c) Copyright 1998 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.

System parameter file is
/opt/oracle/orahome/network/admin/listener.ora Log messages written to /opt/oracle/orahome/network/log/listener.log

Listening on:
(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=lisrv1.edv-poremski.de)(PORT=1521))(PROTOCOL_STACK=(PRESENTATION=TTC)(SESSION=NS))) TIMESTAMP * CONNECT DATA [* PROTOCOL INFO] * EVENT [* SID] * RETURN CODE
12-MAR-00 12:42:37 *
(CONNECT_DATA=(CID=(PROGRAM=)(HOST=lisrv1)(USER=oracle))(COMMAND=status)(ARGUMENTS=64)(SERVICE=LISTENER)(VERSION=135286784)) * status * 0

12-MAR-00 12:43:29 * service_register * ORCL * 0
12-MAR-00 12:43:38 * service_register * ORCL * 0

(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=orcl)(CID=(PROGRAM=C:\Programme\Oracle\jre\1.1.7\bin\jrew.exe)(HOST=WRK01)(USER=Michael))) * (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=192.168.200.21)(PORT=1057)) * establish * orcl * 0

(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=orcl)(CID=(PROGRAM=C:\Programme\Oracle\jre\1.1.7\bin\jrew.exe)(HOST=WRK01)(USER=Michael))) * (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=192.168.200.21)(PORT=1060)) * establish * orcl * 0

The Problem is: Port 1057, 1060 ..... are dynamical. I need a fixed Port!

Thanks for all tips.

Michael
