Re: How to reinstall Oracle 8.0.5 but use existing DB files?

First of all you need to create a new instance. After that you should shutdown that instance and remove all of its files. After that you should copy your instanceless files in their place and startup the instance.

Attention, if your prevoius files compound a altered database you could not manage to use it.
