Ora for Linux Patch > 15 ?

Hello there,

we have the Oracle-known-problem, that the Version 8.0.5 under Linux needs a Patch >= version 15 to solve the following problem:

This version doesn't work with numeric fields bigger than 100.000.000 It changes this number to "-E26". This will be solved with the Patch >= 15 but this is not available for the Linux version.

Does anybody know someone who has an idea to solve this?
