Hello,
This is my very first oracle 8i sco unixware 7 install. I have the following specs for a server. HP LH4, 56 gig raid and 1 gig of memory. I have setup 4 slices /u01 - /u04. /u01 contains oracle software (3 gig
slice). /u02 I want database and all related files (14 gig slice). /u03 & /u04 (10 gig slices) for archiving and the like. I am transferring my existing database from a NT server to Sco Unixware 7. Presently, my database is set at 4mb for data, 2mb for dataindx, rbs 1mb, system at 2mb, tmp at 1mb, tmp at 2mb. How do I configure the existing database for a two year growth? Is there some formula used in configuring the values the database needs to be set at? Also, what should my db_block_size be or should I just accept the default values?
Thanks In Advance,
Fly7
