HELP: Recover from inconsistent backups

Anyone know of a trick to recover from an inconsistent hot backup taken
of a NOARCHIVELOG DB (Ora8 on Sun Solaris).



Every time I try to restore I get messages saying that certain files
still need media recovery.  Can I force my way around this and just
open the db to get at the data.
