I've had *exactly* the same experience -- so I
completely sympathise with you sentiments. I
installed Oracle 8.1.5 on NT4.0 sp5. Then I tried
OAS 4.1.7... got OWS-20214. I uninstalled OAS
4.1.7 and put OAS 4.1.8. Got the same "Panic"
error you describe below.
Now I got pissed off, so I re-installed NT (after formatting the drive), put sp5 on there. Loaded 8.1.5, and then clean installed OAS 4.1.8. And guess what? I get the same damn "Panic" error.
I gotta start thinking that I should be selling me Oracle stock!
I have searched high and low for any answers and found none. If anyone has *any* idea pleeeeease put us out of our misery!
