8i install - which JRE do I need?

Hi,



I'm preparing to install 8i on Red Hat 6.0.



The installation notes that came with the CD say I should download JRE
1.1.6 v5 from blackdown.org. I noticed on their site there are two newer
versions, 1.1.7 and 1.1.8. I've heard 8i is a pain to install, I want to
eliminate any problems before they happen - should I install 1.1.6 as
suggested in the note or should I go for a more recent version?
