Are these error being reported to the front-end, or simply appearing in the alert log ? In the latter case they can be ignored.

Judging from the mix of Loads plus ad hoc query tools I would suspect that you need to configure your temporary space and general extent allocation.

The conflict is probably between space allocation to load (increase the size of initial/next extents on the objects being loaded) and space allocation for sorting (use a tablespace with contents of type TEMPORARY as the user's 'temporary_tablespace' in Oracle 8.0; or a proper temporary tablespace in Oracle 8.1 - in either case set a reasonable size of extent).
