Dropping a datafile

Greetings:



Running 7.3.4 on AIX.  We added some very temporary files in the 'Temp'
tablespace and now would like to remove them.  Taking them off-line put
them into 'Recover' status.



Again, we just want to drop some datafiles from the tablespace,
preferably with the database open, that are already off-line.



Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
