Actuly,

Solaris 2.6 has a maximum filesize limitation of 2GB ( 32 bit ).This means, U cant create a datafile more than 2GB.Since extents can't span across multiple datafiles, the maximum extent size becomes 2GB.Thats it!.this is only a OS limitation
