set sqlnet.expire_time in our sqlnet.ora found in $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin
This parameter checks the db-connection to the client and remove the server-process of the client
if the connection crashes
I'm not shure, but perhaps it helps.

Perhaps have a look which ppid started these processes.
