Search for "ora 600 17034" on Oracle MetaLink. You may find an explanation on that site. If not, perform a "DBV80" on the datafile that the table exists in to check for corruption.

In addition, I would suggest upgrading to at least 8.0.5.2.1 or 8.1.5 for NT...
