You didn't say what kind of 'old' machine the original database was on. If it was NT as well, then if you set up the disk devices the same on the new NT server then you could just copy the database file over.

You would have to create the instance on the new machine, using the oradim80 utility, and be sure to copy the init.ora, control files, and orapwd files as well.

If it wasn't NT, then you would have to use the import/export routines.
