ORA-23375 problem with replication

I've had a problem getting master-master replication working between 2 of our databases - I'm getting 'ORA-23375 feature is incompatible with database version ...'. I use the database with the master definition to replicate with another instance, and this is OK ..... I only get the problem when I set the destination to one particular instance (which has 'compatible' set to the same as the master definition site).

I've re-run the catrep and catrepad scripts on the instance, but it's not helped - can anyone suggest a fix?
