Oracle 805/6 Parallel Server Sites

I would be particularly interested to hear from DBA's who run OPS on 806. We are going to be conducting a new implimentation using OPS and I was keen to understand differences that are evident between the standard and OPS implimentation barring the (1+ instances, diff locking).

Do applications need to be coded in a certain way for fail over?
