Installing Oracle 8i or 8.0.5 on RedHat Linux 6.0

Hi,

Has anyone been successful in installing Oracle 8i or 8.0.5 on RedHat Linux 6.0.

I've tried a few times unsuccessfully.

Oracle 8i would either not launch the JRE or not install correctly (fully).

Oracle 8.0.5 installs fine, however when I try to launch svrmgrl or sqlplus I get
a memory fault error.

Do I need to install a few patches on RedHat 6.0???

If anyone knows... please help.
