We have a 3-tiered application that is using Oracle Client (8.0.5) on a second tier NT server that uses JDBC to talk to an Oracle backend server (8.0.5). If the network between these two servers has a delay over 100ms for 5 seconds or more and data is being transmitted, the connections drop. Doesn't happen if no data is being transmitted. Has anybody experienced this type of behavior before? Any help will be greatly appreciated.........

If the above sound ignorant, I'm only a network guy not a DBA.......;)
