Where is the problem ?

Even the size of one single table is NOT limited by the maximum file size. A
table or an index just needs to fit into one Oracle-tablespace, which can
consist of many 2 gb files ...

Oracle7 hat a limit of 1000 datafiles limiting you to 2 terrabyte - but with
Oracle8 even that limit has disappeared.

And even if you are afraid that the size of one huge transaction is limited
by the size of an redolog-file - this limit does not exist, neither in Oracle7 nor in Oracle8.

Where is the limit you are afraid of ?
