Oracle Net8 Easy Config won't run on NT

Hello all:

I've just installed Oracle 8.0.5 server on an NT Workstation. However, the Net8 Easy Config application will not run. When invoked, no window appears and my processor utilization results in 100%; which will stay this way until I kill the java.exe process.

I have JDK1.2.2 installed on the same box, as well as the JavaSoft JRE 1.2. I have modified my environment to remove all references to the JDK and JRE thinking a potential conflict with JRE's. However, I end up with the same result.

Has anyone experienced similar behavior? Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.
