If you current installation has a network subdirectory in Oracle_Home then forms 4.5 will work fine - if, instead, it has a Net80 subd, create a network sub ( under Oracle_Home) and copy the contents of the Net80 into it...

I use SqNet2 and Net 8 interchangeably ( depending on my Oracle Home default setting - I have 3, thanks to Oracle) and have not had any problems...
