Sorry If this has been mentioned before, But I just found it on Metalink.

Win32 Oracle Installer Y2K Fix



Versions Affected

  Product & Oracle versions affected
  Oracle Installer for Win32 v3.3.1.1.0 and lower

 This Oracle Installer version has been certified to work with Oracle  Server and Oracle Clients 7.3.4, 8.0.4, and 8.0.5.

Platforms Affected



  Exclusive to Win32 (Windows NT / Windows 95 / Windows 98)

Description



  The RGS product registration file contained a 2-digit   timestamp.

Likelihood of Occurrence



  100% certainty after Dec 31st, 1999.

Possible Symptoms



  Protection Exception (GPF)
  Access Violation

Workaround



  Set the system clock back to 1999, perform the install,   and reset the system clock back to 2000.

Patches


  Download the

  Y2K Compliant Oracle Installer for Win32 (ver.3.3.1.1.0C) from MetaLink.

  Login to MetaLink at http://www.oracle.com/support/elec_sup/

  In MetaLink V1 select the Downlaod button to access patches.   In MetaLink V2 select the Patches button.

  1. Select Oracle Installer for the Product and Windows NT for the Platform.
  2. Click Go.
  3. Download the readme and patch.
