Demo Tables

I just installed Oracle8i and used the Web Assistant to generate a web
page based on tables under demos folder.  This seems to be the only
area I can see these tables.  How can I make these tables available and
visible to other tasks such as SQL Plus. I am used to SQL server where
all database objects are visible in the management console
