Designer 2.1 Generator (web)

Have developed a Designer 2.1-generated application for webserver. Have a problem with Text Areas where if user enteres into a multi-line field

when the record is saved and redisplayed from the database, it has become

x

y

(i.e. a blank line has been inserted).

This problem occurs on all fields of this type in the application...
