First of all, I'm not sure why you address this ng as Oracle support: we aren't. You should have called Oracle support. A few remarks:

It is impossible for me to verify from your post you indeed have ALL files

There is a problem in the script: you should place tablespaces in backup mode ONE by ONE and not all at a time.

There is another problem in your script as you backup the controlfile FIRST, and the controlfile WILL change during the actual hot backup. Please refer to the Oracle 8 DBA handbook for a correct hot backup script.

You state that after you discover the controlfiles are not the same, you shutdown the database, while we can't see any startup command from your post. How can we help you out, when we don't have the EXACT steps you did to get into this mess?

Currently it looks like the only thing you can do is recover database until cancel using backup controlfile
