Oracle 8.x on Linux (SuSe 6.2)

Hi Everybody!

Does anyone know, if there are problems having CLOBS in a databse running
under Linux?

We get an ORA-600 when commiting an dataset which includes a clob! The error only appears on the second or advanced change to the data field.
We are using Oracle Developer 6 (Patch 4) and the Database 8.1.5 on SuSe 6.2!
