I have Oracle 8.0.5.0.0 installed on RedHat 6.0. While running listener i.e. /usr/local/oracle/bin/lsnrctl start, the server pukes the following mesg:

Listening on:
(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(DEV=6)(HOST=202.61.76.131)(PORT=1521))
Attempted to Listen on:
((ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=ipc)(PARTIAL=yes)(QUEUESIZE=1))

TNS-12541:TNS:no listener
TNS-12560:TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00511: No listener

Linux Error:2: No such file or directory

Also, command "adapters" doesn't list any adapter.

Thanx.
