mystery table

Hi, All:

One guy dumped 2 tables from access into an Oracle database. But for some reason, when I do select or desc in sql plus, it keeps saying the table or object does not exist. When I do analyze, the stats are updated. when I do a select from user_tables, the table does appear, but it has upper and lower cases. Usually, everything is in upper case. That is strange. I am wondering if anyone has seen the problem before. I am using 8i on NT.
