Hello
I wonder why I cannot open or even mount database
when connected as
SYSOPER(Oracle 8I windows NT SP5). It works very
well on Oracle 7, no
problem at all.
C:\>sqlplus /NOLOG

SQL> connect starter/xxx as SYSOPER
Connected to an idle instance.
SQL> STARTUP

ORACLE instance started.
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
SQL> alter database mount
2 ;
alter database mount
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
SQL>
