TNS Lost Contact error with 8.0.5.1 EE on SuSE 6.2

trying to install Oracle 8.0.5.1 EE on SuSE Linux 6.2, (with the patch provided at www.suse.de/~mha/oracle/ ) I get an error when the installation program tries to create the database. The error seems to be a segmentation fault when svrmgrl is running.

I tried to replace svrmgrl by svrmgrlO, and there was no segmentation fault but a "ORA-12547 : TNS : Lost contact" error when I tried to connect. I get the same error with sqlplus.

has anyone an idea?...
