What is the correct syntax to enter a default value into a column when
creating a table?  The standard SQL call does not seem to work.



Running Oracle 8.0.5  on Sun SPARC  running Solaris 2.6



PAY_METHOD	 VARCHAR2(2) 	   NOT NULL DEFAULT 'OA' ,
