You don't. Oracle will use both processors if the operating system supports multiple processors.

There's a "number of CPUs" parameter in the INITxxx.ORA file, but you should only touch that when requested by Oracle support.

Just a comment - many expect to see the load spread evenly on both CPUs at the same time. That is not true. IOW, if you have a load of "40 tons" (for a lack of a better measurement ;-), you will not see "20 tons" on each CPU. Instead, you should see something like "38 tons" on CPU0 and "2 tons" on CPU1. When CPU0 gets redlined, only then the load of CPU1 increases. OK, the example is a bit simplicity, but this type of behaviour you will find on both Unix and NT SMP platforms.
