On the other hand, by using a few large datafiles instead of many
smaller datafiles, you decrease the internal fragmentation of the
tablespace. We use an 8Gb datafile on our largest tablespace, and the
performance is the same as it was using 4 2Gb files, but there is much
less fragmentation.
