Oracle 8.0.5 on Linux - SYSDBA & SYSOPER user problems

Hi:

I have Oracle 8.0.5 installed on Linux, and everything works fine. The only problem that I have is that I cannot connect to the database as 'SYSDBA' or 'SYSOPER'.

I read that during the installation these users must be created and belong to the oracle group, but I really don't know how to do that. Can anyone help me a little bit please?

    Thanks,
