From your response I take it you also use Remedy on an oracle database. My concern/question in the initial post was to find the correct way of setup up oracle for use by Remedy. I am not a DBA, but the few that I've met always question my configuration and spoke of optimizing oracle's performance by having a prudent initial setup--unfortunately, they did not specify how.
