Prevent full refresh after import

I have two databases, with one database replicating data to the other. I export both databases, and import them into two new ones. The database link names in the new databases is the same as the original ones, so the snpshot process is still valid after the imports.

However, the first refresh on the copies is always a full refresh, and I would like to know if it is possible to do the export and import in a manner that will cause the first refresh to be a fast one.

(using Oracle 7.3.3)
