Sr. Oracle DBA position @ hot internet startup

We are looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to manage our database operations. Your job responsibilities include ongoing design, development and maintenance of the application database architecture. The ideal candidate must have strong UNIX skills which includes striping Oracle table spaces, Oracle performance tuning, scripting (backups, standby DB, tuning), performance monitoring (iostat, mpstat, etc.) and overall understanding of hardware requirements related to large scale databases. Candidates should be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Requirements are as follows:

· 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience
· Experience with Sun hardware and software
· Experience in parallel server implementation as well as partitioning
  implementation.
· Strong skills in Data Modeling (Designer 2000).
· Tuning (Enterprise Manager V2.1.2).
· Experience with parallel development.
· Standby database experience required.
· Strong communication skills (written/ verbal).
· Understanding of OLTP system requirements (400+ DB users)
· Good diagnostic/proactive DB skills to catch problems before they
  appear.
